Imagine the photo ops in a crowd of millions of people at a Hindu pilgrimage in India. Glenn Losack has been there and has caught the sea of humanity that appears at Kumbh Mela (one of four pilgrimage sites) that takes place four times every twelve years.
As a matter of fact, Glenn has been all over the world and has come up with shots that no other photographer in the world has, unique images that spell out the status of the underdog.
“I am always for the underdog, for the disenfranchised, for those who have no voice,” he says. “I want to help the world look at the unsightliness in our world (so essential to understanding the world) as well as the beauty.”
You can view Glenn’s work at the upcoming show, at New York City’s Salon Ciel. The show is from 6:30-9 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2009. Salon Ciel is at 10 West 15th Street between 5th and 6th Ave. For more info about Glenn’s work visit here or visit his website at http://www.glennlosackmd.com.
