Man with Teddy Bear

Now, who knows what’s going on here. I bet I can guess. The man is holding the Teddy bear for his kid or grandkid.

Or, he could be just the kind of guy who needs the extra security a Teddy bear offers.

Did you know that the name Teddy bear comes from Theodore Roosevelt? Seems as if Roosevelt wasn’t a very good hunter. One fine day in 1902 on a hunting trip Roosevelt’s handlers tied a black bear to a tree so Roosevelt could shoot it, deeming him a successful hunter.

Roosevelt refused and some how the stuffed Teddy bear got the prez’s first name.

This image was taken at the Lavender Fest in Beaumont, CA last year.
