Hula Hoopin’

They were hula hoopin’ in the Prescott town square the other day. This girl opted to just watch the others jiggle their waists.

She just begged to have her picture taken while I was shooting the hula hoopers. You just gotta love the hula hoops–their color, shape and design. I would have thought the word hula hoop comes from the Hawaiian word “hula,” but can’t find any documentation of that on the Internet.

Some say Hula Hoops began began  as wood rings in Australia.  Others believe they were used for exercise as far back as ancient Greek times.

You can get hula hoops for as low as six bucks.  Work that fat off, get one today!
