This chair is a play on the 1950s lime green color. When I was growing up, we had a couch this color. It was one unit that was curved so that a kidney-shaped coffee table could fit snuggly into the nook that created in front by the shape of the couch.
The couch was huge and it was all in one piece, a nightmare to move. Under the couch were beautiful terrazzo floors. If there is one decor I miss most, it would have to be terrazzo floors. They kind of looked like this.
The 1970s came along and like magic, the terrazzo floors were covered by shag carpets, the couch replaced with a beige sectional, all a big disappointment for me.
