Seattle After Dark

This kind of garb is not too common in Seattle. As far as dress is concerned, this is a fairly conservative place.

For a photographer like me, I prefer an every-day-is-a-party approach. If someone is dressed stylishly I’ll be there to capture the moment.

For example:

A woman with cool sunglasses.
A naked guy with sheet music tattoos.
A woman pretending to be Elvis.
An older gent in an overcoat with a trendy bag of I-don’t-know-what.

People who dress to kill almost never mind having their picture taken. The only caveat to asking is that you’ll get a posed shot.

Real street photography is spontaneous. The guy in the overcoat had no idea that I took his picture.

I prefer the later.
